Contrary to their findings in association with the PCSK9 Serum Levels and Platelet Reactivity in Patients With Acute Coronary Syndrome Treated With Prasugrel or Ticagrelor (PCSK9-REACT) study [32], PCSK9 levels were found to predict future acute coronary events in patients with very similar baseline characteristics, including the proportion of patients treated with statins. This evidence concerns the gene PCSK9 and acute coronary syndrome.
