We focused on TRIM67 as we were screening the risk factors for NAFLD with animal models that we found significantly enhanced mRNA and protein levels of TRIM67 in the liver of high-fat-diet (HFD) induced obese mice (Figure 1B–D), while interestingly that the expression of which could hardly be detected in WT livers (Figure 1A). Here, TRIM67 is linked to metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
