MAPT and Alzheimer disease: The AD diagnostic pattern implemented in a prospective patient cohort to distinguish AD patients from the group of non-AD dementia and controls showed 87% sensitivity and 83% specificity, which was slightly better or comparable, in this study, to the diagnosis prediction-power obtained from measurement of beta-amyloid1–42, total-tau, and phospho181-tau with a sensitivity of 88% and specificity of 67%.
