In this section, we will discuss the role of CXCL1 in the major liver diseases, namely non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) [92], alcoholic liver disease (ALD) [93], and hepatitis B virus (HBV) [94] and hepatitis C virus (HCV) [95] infection. This evidence concerns the gene CXCL1 and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
