MAPT and Alzheimer disease: Considering that these AD-related changes (in particular, the decrease in acidic isoforms and the increase in more basic isoforms) were associated with CSF levels of Aβ42/40, p-tau and t-tau, we might suppose that serpinA1 PTMs and AD neuropathological changes may relate to each other, even if in a small number of patients, we observed that the DLB subgroup showed mixed features that partly resembled those of LBD and AD patients.
