In a separate study conducted by Zhao et al. [74], ACHN and A-498 RCC cells treated with resveratrol were found to have decreased invasion and cell migration via decreased expression of vimentin, Snail, MMP-2, MMP-9, p-Akt, and p-ERK1/2 and increased expression of E-cadherin and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase 1 (TIMP-1). The gene discussed is VIM; the disease is renal cell carcinoma.
