Thus, our results unveiled a novel epigenetic regulation of Wnt/β-catenin signaling by TET1 as a DNA demethylase and suggested therapeutic application of Wnt inhibitors to target EMT and CSCs as a promising strategy to suppress metastasis, as well as examining the expression of TET1 and FOXO4 during the diagnosis of gastric cancer to predict the cancer progression and warrant more aggressive treatments in certain cases. This evidence concerns the gene TET1 and gastric cancer.
