CTLA4 and hepatocellular carcinoma: The biomarker study [87] with tislelizumab, an anti-PD-1 monoclonal antibody, was given to patients with advanced HCC previously treated with sorafenib (NCT02407990 and NCT04068519), and it was demonstrated that non-responders had elevated expression of genes related to angiogenesis (TEK, KDR, HGF, and EGR1), immune exhaustion (CD274, CTLA-4, TIGIT, and CD96), and cell cycle (E2F7, FOXA1, and FANCD2), compared to responders.
