Especially in NSCLC with non-squamous histology, there exists different genomic alterations, the majority of mutations (such as in EGFR, BRAF, HER2, MET genes) or chromosomal rearrangements (ALK, ROS1, RET, NTRK) that constitute activating oncogenic mechanisms for cell proliferation and cancer development. Here, MET is linked to non-small cell lung carcinoma.
