Interestingly, LOXL2 facilitates cancer cell dedifferentiation, migration, and metastasis in a variety of desmoplastic cancer models (e.g., breast cancer, PDAC, muscle-derived rhabdomyosarcoma) [158,159,160,161,162,163] but exhibits diverse effects on ECM organization, even within specific cancer types. Here, LOXL2 is linked to breast carcinoma.
