ADA and uveal melanoma: As shown in Figure 3C and Supplemental Figure S2A, combination treatment with even very low levels of the drugs could significantly enhance growth inhibition of uveal melanoma line, including those with high levels of ADA, as compared to the monotherapy studies with much higher concentrations of cordycepin shown in Figure 1A. A combination of 1 μM cordycepin and 1 μM EHNA resulted in a 68% reduction of growth on average in the five lines tested, while 1 μM cordycepin and 1 μM pentostatin inhibited growth by 69% on average.
