Notably, SLC7A11 has been frequently observed in various malignant tumours, including lymphomas, leukaemias, Kaposi’s sarcoma, squamous-cell carcinomas/epithelial carcinomas, breast cancer, glioblastoma (GBM), and pancreatic cancers (PDAC) [4,27,28].
