After the adjustment of demographics, healthy behaviors, and SES factors, we found that higher levels of triglycerides and CRP were associated with 1.68 and 1.42 folds increased risk of overall cancer (triglycerides: HR = 1.68, 95% CI: 1.16, 2.43; CRP: HR = 1.42, 95% CI: 1.01, 2.01). The gene discussed is CRP; the disease is cancer.
