Patients with higher TyG index were generally younger, higher severity of illness scores on admission, higher prevalence of DM, COPD, RF, LD, AKI, CKD, sepsis, higher levels of WBC, Scr, TC, LDL, hemoglobin A1c and blood urea nitrogen, lower levels of albumin and HDL compared to the lower group.
