In support of this we find downregulation of the transmembrane receptor and transcription factor of the JAK/STAT pathway (domeless and Stat92E) and upregulation of immunity related targets for bacterial and viral infection (vir‐1, Tep2, Tep3) (Myllymäki & Rämet, 2014) suggesting a greater investment in immunity in Episyrphus migrants. Here, SOAT1 is linked to viral infectious disease.
