CRP and COVID-19: Current studies suggest that patients infected with 2019-nCoV will present normal white blood cell (WBC) count or mild WBC reduction, significant lymphocyte (LY) reduction, increased C-reactive protein (CRP) and decreased prealbumin (PA).4-6 Moreover, LY, CRP and PA levels are closely related to the severity of COVID-19, which is helpful to evaluate the prognosis of this disease.7-9
