We next evaluated the relationship between overall survival and mutations to the next three genes identified, specifically EPHA7, NTRK3, and ZFHX3. Though EPHA7 mutation was associated with improved survival in the combined cohort (Fig. 7A), EPHA7 mutations were by far most frequent in melanoma patients, followed distantly by NSCLC and colorectal cancer patients (Fig. 7B). The gene discussed is NTRK3; the disease is non-small cell lung carcinoma.
