As expected, women with hypertension at inclusion (systolic blood pressure ≥ 140 mmHg and/or diastolic blood pressure ≥ 90 mmHg) had significantly higher levels of cTnT (p < 0.001), NT-proBNP (p < 0.001) and GDF-15 (p = 0.012, Supplemental Fig. 1).
