A 62% reduction in LDL-C levels was observed in 59% of the evolocumab patients. In patients on statin therapy, PCSK9 inhibition from evolocumab reduced LDL-C levels to a median of 30 mg/dL. A significant reduction was observed in the primary composite endpoint for components of myocardial infarction, stroke, and coronary revascularization. This evidence concerns the gene PCSK9 and myocardial infarction.
