In prostate, breast cancers and HCC, UBAP2L depletion leads to an accumulation of G2/M cell population (Li and Huang, 2014; He et al., 2018; Li et al., 2018), whereas it was shown to increase the G0/G1 cells rate in Glioma and colorectal carcinoma, suggesting that UBAP2L may act during several cell cycle stages (Zhao et al., 2015; Chai et al., 2016). The gene discussed is UBAP2L; the disease is breast carcinoma.
