Among the differentially expressed proteins between MS patients and HCs, three proteins have previously been suggested to play a role in MS pathogenesis: (1) tyrosine kinase 2 (TYK2), (2) protein tyrosine phosphatase non-receptor type 2 (PTPN2), and (3) DNA polymerase subunit gamma-1 (POLG). The gene discussed is PTPN2; the disease is myeloid sarcoma.
