Although no significant changes in p53 mRNA levels were detected in our RNA‐seq and real‐time RT‐PCR assays (Figure 5G), the protein levels of p53 and its targets, CDKN1A and TP53INP1, were significantly increased in CHD7‐depleted cells (Figure 5H), suggesting that CHD7 knockdown in CRC cell lines led to an increase in the protein stability of p53. This evidence concerns the gene CHD7 and colorectal carcinoma.
