During 1/148 infections, we observed ICAM1 also increased in the lungs, heart, and liver (unpaired t-test with Welch’s correction, p-value < 0.01), whereas ICAM2 expression increased in the heart and kidneys (unpaired t-test with Welch’s correction, p-value < 0.0001), and VCAM1 in the liver, spleen, and kidneys (unpaired t-test with Welch’s correction, p-value < 0.01) (Figure 3—figure supplement 1 A, left). This evidence concerns the gene ICAM1 and infection.
