PCOS is considered to be a chronic inflammatory disease [1], and multiple inflammation-related genes (such as interleukin-1 beta (IL1B), prostaglandin-endoperoxide synthase 2 (PTGS2)), as well as granule cells(GCs) in the inflammatory environment of PCOS patients, have been linked to hyperandrogenism [7–9]. Here, PTGS2 is linked to hyperandrogenism.
