When the non-sarcopenia/obesity group was considered as the reference, sarcopenia/obesity occurrence was significantly associated with all-cause mortality after adjustment for MAGGIC risk score and log-transformed BNP (non-sarcopenia/obesity vs. sarcopenia/obesity: hazard ratio, 3.63; 95% confidence interval, 1.52–8.68; P = 0.004). This evidence concerns the gene NPPB and sarcopenia.
