Cox proportional hazard analysis revealed that sarcopenia/obesity was an independent prognostic factor of all-cause death even after adjusting for MAGGIC risk score and log-transformed BNP (non-sarcopenia/non-obesity vs. sarcopenia/obesity: hazard ratio, 2.48; 95% confidence interval, 1.22–5.04; P = 0.012) (Table 3).
