For treatment-naive advanced NSCLC patients with EGFR-sensitizing mutations, first-line EGFR-TKIs including first-generation gefitinib, erlotinib, and icotinib, second-generation afatinib and dacomitinib, and third-generation osimertinib and almonertinib have replaced traditional platinum-based chemotherapy as the current therapeutic standard, with a progression-free survival (PFS) range of 9–19.3 months (2–8). Here, EGFR is linked to non-small cell lung carcinoma.
