Alglucosidase alfa, produced from CHO cells, was shown to have the lowest M6P content (0.7 mol/mol) in the study comparing the M6P contents of six ERT enzymes (the other enzymes, except the one for Gaucher disease, have 2.1-5.9 M6P mol/mol) (Togawa et al. 2014). The gene discussed is ELF3; the disease is Gaucher disease.
