ALB and osteoporosis: After adjusting for confounders [using a threshold of p < 0.05 from the univariate analysis (Table 2)], such as age, BMI, smoking status, education status, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, white blood counts, red blood counts, platelet counts, serum hemoglobin, albumin, triglyceride, HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, and uric acid, subjects in the regular exercise group were still significantly associated with a lower prevalence of osteoporosis than those in the no exercise group (OR, 0.76; 95% CI, 0.71–0.81, p < 0.001; Table 2).
