Th17 cells are differentiated from CD4+ helper T cells, which secrete IL-17, IL-22, and other cytokines (Langrish et al., 2005; Park et al., 2005; Fujimura et al., 2013) and play an essential role in the host's resistance to Candida infection (Park et al., 2018; Gaffen and Moutsopoulos, 2020).
