ABCA5 and acute myeloid leukemia: ABCA5 is engaged in resistance processes in the treatment of many diseases, including resistance in melanoma [27], resistance to the immunosuppressant tacrolimus [28], resistance to 5-FU in laryngeal squamous cell carcinoma [29], resistance to arabinoside (Ara-C) and erythromycin (Dnr) in acute myeloid leukemia [30], resistance to doxorubicin (Dox) in malignant mesothelioma (MM) [31], and resistance to cisplatin in lung cancer [32].
