The hypercalcemia GWAS produced a suggestive association (P = 6.81 × 10−7 in LMM, P = 3.05 × 10−7 in FarmCPU) on chromosome C1, located in the gene PAFAH2 (Platelet Activating Factor Acetylhydrolase 2) and within LD of the gene STMN1 (Stathmin 1) (Figure 4B). Here, PAFAH2 is linked to hypercalcemia disease.
