In this study, aldose 1-epimerase, fructose-bisphosphate aldolase, glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate dehydrogenase (phosphorylating), enolase, pyruvate decarboxylase, phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase, and alcohol dehydrogenase were identified as significantly up-regulated genes (Table S7), providing evidence that the glycolysis/gluconeogenesis pathway is involved in the infection response. The gene discussed is GALM; the disease is infection.
