Recently, Ni Bowei and his colleagues found that MCC950 (a specific NLRP3 inhibitor) attenuates cartilage degeneration through inhibiting cartilage catabolism and regulating Nrf2/HO‐1/NQO1, PI3k/Akt/mTOR, P38/MAPK and JNK/MAPK pathways in OA, which demonstrated that NLRP3 is involved in cartilage disorders. Here, MTOR is linked to cartilage disease.
