Testis-specific Y-encoded protein (TSPY)–like protein 5 (TSPYL5) is a member of the TSPY-like protein family, which has been previously reported to interact with ubiquitin-specific protease USP7 and regulate cell proliferation and is thus implicated in various cancers, but its interaction with chromatin has not been investigated. The gene discussed is USP7; the disease is cancer.
