AFP and sarcopenia: When age, MELD score, platelet count, AFP, sarcopenia, and more than one complication were combined (AMPAS1), the area under the curve for predicting mortality was 0.865, which was higher than that of either parameter alone (both p < 0.001), and the cut-off value, sensitivity, and specificity were 0.31, 79.4, and 76.4% (Fig. 2).
