We examined the role of type 2 diabetes, type 2 diabetes adjusted for BMI (T2DMadjBMI) [10], fasting glucose, fasting insulin, 2h glucose after an oral glucose challenge (all adjusted for BMI: FGadjBMI, FIadjBMI and 2hGluadjBMI, respectively) and HbA1c [11] in the development of PCOS [12] in people of European ancestry. This evidence concerns the gene INS and polycystic ovary syndrome.
