AGT and hypertensive disorder: Both ERAPs, in addition to their intracellular role in antigen presentation, after secretion regulate hypertension by trimming angiotensin II to angiotensin III (ERAP1) and angiotensin III to angiotensin IV (ERAP1 and ERAP2) which then bind to receptors AT2R and AT4R, respectively, stimulating vasodilation and counteracting hypertension (29, 50, 78–80).
