Several phase 3 clinical trials for advanced NSCLC have recently reported that patients treated with a combination of ICI and chemotherapy (ICI/Chemo) have notably better clinical course than those treated with chemotherapy alone.12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 On the basis of these results, combination therapy has been established as a standard therapy in patients with treatment-naive advanced NSCLC without driver oncogenes, irrespective of the PD-L1 TPS. This evidence concerns the gene CD274 and non-small cell lung carcinoma.
