A multivariable Cox proportional hazard model, adjusting for age, sex, smoking, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, diabetes, family history of cardiovascular disease, and previous myocardial infarction, did not affect the association of PV NPY with the combined end point (HR, 1.011 [95% CI, 1.001–1.021]; P=0.03). Here, NPY is linked to familial hypercholesterolemia.
