Etanercept (EnbrelR) functions as a decoy receptor for TNF-a.[60] Although effective in treatingrheumatologic conditions, it is not commonly used for uveitis as it is not asefficacious in comparison to other anti-TNF-a agents,[60] and there is risk for drug-induced uveitis andsarcoidosis.[61,62].
