Adalimumab (HumiraR) is a fully humanized anti-TNF-a monoclonal antibody and is theonly IMT approved by the FDA for use in patients with intermediate, posterior, orpanuveitis.[30] It isadministered subcutaneously 40 mg (or 20 mg if patient's weight is <30 kg) every other week, often after an initial loading dose of80 mg.[30] It has been commonlyused to treat uveitis associated with JIA,[18,21,22,31,32] sarcoidosis,[33] ankylosing spondylitis(AS),[34] andBD,[35] in addition toother NIUs.[36,37,38,39,40,41].
