More precisely, in the setting of an IDH-wildtype diffuse and astrocytic glioma in adults, a glioblastoma is diagnosed if microvascular proliferation or necrosis, TERT promoter mutation, EGFR gene amplification or a combined gain of the entire chromosome 7 and loss of the entire chromosome 10 [+ 7/ − 10] is observed. Here, IDH1 is linked to glioblastoma.
