Western blot analysis results (Fig. 1H and Additional file 6: Fig. S1F) presented that silencing of MEG3 in parental cells inhibited the expression of Bax and cleaved caspase-3 and promoted Bcl-2 expression, while overexpression of MEG3 in drug-resistant cells led to opposite results, suggesting that overexpression of MEG3 enhanced the sensitivity of AML cells to AraC. Here, CASP3 is linked to acute myeloid leukemia.
