NEFL and Huntington disease: We employed network-based statistics (NBS) to explore differences in network connectivity between preHD and controls and then tested the extent to which any changes were associated with Huntington’s disease pathology in terms of elevated CSF neurofilament light (NfL) levels, a marker of axonal degeneration that correlates with Huntington’s disease progression.32–34 We then investigated the possible mechanisms of any changes in connectivity using Allen Human Brain Atlas (AHBA) regional gene expression data and partial least squares regression.
