Consistent with this report, mice overexpressing murine Il18 in keratinocytes under the control of the human keratin 14 promoter (KIL-18Tg) developed atopic dermatitis-like inflammation and type 2 inflammation independent of IgE/IgG1, suggesting that IL-18 induces type 2 inflammation through activation of ILC2s (28). Here, IL18 is linked to atopic eczema.
