used perindopril and bisoprolol to protect the myocardium and found that these drugs were well tolerated by patients with HER2-positive early breast cancer; both drugs mitigated the LVEF decline associated with trastuzumab but did not prevent left ventricular remodeling, thus the long-term significance of LV remodeling in that study is unclear, and the cardiovascular risk factors in patient cohort are fewer than clinical practice, which require further investigation to confirm these drugs’ effects in chemotherapeutic-related cardiotoxicity. This evidence concerns the gene ERBB2 and breast carcinoma.
