The risk of ICAS increased with a higher Lp-PLA2 level in patients with AIS, and patients with higher Lp-PLA2 levels showed more severe ICAS and more intracranial arterial lesions, suggesting that Lp-PLA2 levels are associated with ICAS in both non-stroke and stroke conditions. The gene discussed is PLA2G7; the disease is androgen insensitivity syndrome.
