Cao et al. (28) found that the optimal value of Lp-PLA2 levels was 136.46 ng/ml, at which the sensitivity and specificity for the diagnosis of the presence of moderate-to-severe artery stenosis or occlusion were 79.6% and 95.2%, respectively, and the area under the curve (AUC) was 0.938, indicating that the serum Lp-PLA2 level has an excellent diagnostic value for severe stenosis. This evidence concerns the gene PLA2G7 and stricture.
