The plasma BDNF levels in the stroke patients (6.69 ± 4.92 ng/mL; mean ± SD) were significantly lower than in the age and gender matched control group (16.70 ± 7.20 ng/mL; mean ± SD; p < 0,0001; Mann-Whitney U test, GraphPad Prism) (Figure 3a). Here, BDNF is linked to stroke disorder.
