The results of our investigation indicated that after CZME therapy of infected mice, the level of proinflammatory cytokines of IFN-γ, IL-1β, and IL-12 were markedly elevated in a dose-dependent response; it was also demonstrated that the treatment with CZME may increase the host’s survival and control infection by improving the immune system as it has an indirect effect against toxoplasmosis. This evidence concerns the gene IL1B and infection.
