As shown in Table 2, 16 variables, namely, systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS), hematocrit, platelets, prothrombin time, albumin, aspartate aminotransferase (AST), glucose, serum creatinine, blood urea nitrogen (BUN), total cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL), triglyceride, serum calcium, C-reactive protein (CRP), and pleural effusion were significantly associated with the development of SAP, as inferred by univariate analysis. Here, F2 is linked to systemic inflammatory response syndrome.
