MEG3 and neoplasm: In osteosarcoma, MEG3 expression and function were mainly associated with ceRNA network or miRNA sponging mechanisms, e.g., sponging onco-miR664a, MEG3/miR-361-5p/FoxM1 axis, MEG3/miR-127/ZEB1 axis, etc. In most of the cases, MEG3 was suggested to be acting as a tumor suppressor and thereby a potential prognostic biomarker for osteosarcoma.
